In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions shall have the meanings set out below:
Customer means any individual, business, or organisation that requests or receives cleaning services from Carpet Cleaners Colliers Wood.
Company, we, us, our means Carpet Cleaners Colliers Wood.
Services means any carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, or associated cleaning services provided by the Company.
Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

The Company provides carpet, rug, and upholstery cleaning and related services within its operating area, including Colliers Wood and surrounding locations. All Services will be carried out using reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards for professional cleaning.
The specific Services to be provided, including any agreed extras or special requirements, will be confirmed at the time of Booking. Any verbal or written quotation is based on the information provided by the Customer and on the assumption of normal conditions at the Premises.
3.1 Bookings may be requested by the Customer via the Company’s accepted communication channels. A Booking is not considered confirmed until the Company has acknowledged and accepted it.
3.2 The Customer must provide accurate information when making a Booking, including the type and size of the areas to be cleaned, the condition of the carpets or upholstery, access details, and any other relevant information that may affect the duration or cost of the Services.
3.3 The Company reserves the right to amend or withdraw any quotation if the information provided by the Customer is incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading, or if the conditions at the Premises differ significantly from those described at the time of Booking.
3.4 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that someone with authority is present at the Premises at the agreed time to grant access, discuss any specific requirements, and inspect the work upon completion where reasonably possible.
4.1 All prices are provided in pounds sterling and may be given as a fixed fee, an hourly rate, or a price per room or area, as specified by the Company.
4.2 Any quotation provided by the Company is based on the information supplied by the Customer and is valid for a limited period, which will be confirmed at the time the quotation is given. The Company reserves the right to revise quotations after inspection of the Premises or if additional work is requested.
4.3 Prices do not include parking, congestion charges, or other access-related costs unless expressly stated. Where such charges apply, they may be added to the final invoice.
5.1 Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of Booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due on completion of the Services.
5.2 The Company may require a deposit or full prepayment to secure a Booking. Any required deposit will be specified at the time of Booking and must be paid by the deadline provided, failing which the Company may release the reserved appointment slot.
5.3 The Company accepts payment by the methods it specifies from time to time. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all payments are made promptly and in full.
5.4 In the event of late payment, the Company may charge interest on the overdue amount at the statutory rate applicable in England and Wales, and may suspend further services until all outstanding sums are settled.
6.1 If the Customer wishes to cancel or reschedule a Booking, notice must be given as early as reasonably possible. The specific cancellation notice period and any applicable charges will be communicated at the time of Booking.
6.2 The Company reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee where insufficient notice is given, where the operative is unable to obtain access to the Premises at the agreed time, or where the Customer or any representative is not present to facilitate access if this has been agreed as necessary.
6.3 If the Premises are inaccessible, unsafe, or unsuitable for the performance of the Services upon arrival, the Company may refuse to carry out the work and treat the Booking as cancelled by the Customer, which may give rise to a cancellation charge.
6.4 The Company may cancel or reschedule a Booking where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, transport disruption, staff illness, equipment failure, or safety concerns. In such cases, the Company will endeavour to offer the Customer the earliest available alternative appointment.
7.1 The Customer must ensure that the Premises are safe, accessible, and reasonably prepared for the Services. This includes removing fragile items, valuable objects, small furniture where practicable, and any obstacles that may restrict access to the areas to be cleaned.
7.2 The Customer must inform the Company of any known risks at the Premises, including loose carpets, damaged flooring, wiring hazards, or any other circumstance that may pose a risk to the Company’s operatives or equipment.
7.3 The Customer is requested to keep children, pets, and other occupants away from the areas being cleaned for the duration of the work and for a reasonable time afterwards to allow for drying and to ensure safety.
7.4 The Customer must not request or encourage the Company’s staff to undertake any work that falls outside the agreed scope of Services or that is unsafe, illegal, or contrary to applicable regulations.
8.1 The Company will use appropriate cleaning methods and products in line with industry practice and with regard to the information supplied by the Customer about the materials to be cleaned.
8.2 While the Company aims to achieve the best possible results, stain and odour removal cannot be guaranteed, particularly where stains are permanent, old, caused by certain substances, or where previous cleaning attempts have affected the fibres or dyes.
8.3 The Customer acknowledges that some carpets, rugs, and upholstery may be prone to wear, colour loss, shrinkage, or other changes when cleaned. The Company will take reasonable care but shall not be liable for pre-existing wear, defects, or manufacturer-related issues that become more visible following cleaning.
9.1 The Company will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the Services. If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the work, the Company should be notified as soon as possible, and within a reasonable period, to allow for inspection and, where appropriate, rectification.
9.2 The Company’s liability for loss or damage arising from the Services shall be limited to the reasonable cost of repair or cleaning, or where repair or cleaning is not feasible, the fair replacement value of the damaged item, subject to a reasonable assessment of age, condition, and usage.
9.3 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or purely economic loss, such as loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity, arising from or in connection with the Services.
9.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the Company’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10.1 The Customer should report any alleged damage or issues as soon as they are discovered and no later than a reasonable period after completion of the Services. The Company may request photographic evidence and access to the Premises to inspect the reported problem.
10.2 Where damage is proven to have been caused by the Company, the Company will, at its discretion, arrange repair, replacement, or a fair financial settlement, taking into account the age and condition of the item prior to the damage.
10.3 Complaints will be handled with care and in a timely manner. Customers are encouraged to raise any concerns promptly so that the Company has an opportunity to address them.
11.1 The Company will handle waste water, used cleaning solutions, and any associated residues in compliance with applicable waste and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom.
11.2 The Customer agrees not to request the Company to dispose of any hazardous substances or controlled waste in a manner that is inconsistent with relevant regulations. If such waste is present at the Premises, the Customer must disclose this in advance. The Company may decline to handle hazardous materials that fall outside its authorised scope of work.
11.3 Any physical waste generated by the Services that can be reasonably removed by the Company, such as packaging from its own products, will be taken away or placed in appropriate containers at the Premises, subject to the Customer’s waste disposal arrangements.
12.1 The Company will conduct its operations in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and good practice guidelines.
12.2 The Customer must provide a safe working environment, including reasonable lighting, access to water and electricity where required, and clear routes to the areas where work is to be performed.
12.3 The Company reserves the right to withdraw staff from the Premises if conditions are deemed unsafe or if there is abusive or threatening behaviour. In such cases, the Booking may be treated as cancelled by the Customer and relevant charges may apply.
13.1 The Company maintains insurance cover appropriate to the nature of its Services. Specific details of cover can be provided on reasonable request.
13.2 The Customer is responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance for the Premises and its contents, including cover for accidental damage and liability to third parties, where relevant.
14.1 The Company may collect and process personal information about Customers for the purposes of managing Bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and handling enquiries and complaints.
14.2 All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the United Kingdom. The Company will not sell or unlawfully disclose personal information to third parties.
15.1 The Company may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, industry practice, or its own operational requirements.
15.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time of Booking will apply to that Booking. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect will constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
16.1 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the provision of the Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
16.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided by the Company.
17.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed deleted and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.
